Independent Test Results of Different Water Sources • European legislation states that the maximum count of bacteria in mains drinking water should not exceed 100 bacteria/ml at 220C Explanation of Laboratory Results • Bottled Water Independent test results often show very high counts of bacteria • Non UV Mains Systems Point of use units which do not have ultraviolet technology in the tank will show build up of bacteria. The active carbon filter will remove the chlorine from the mains water and thus the water which sits in the tank will immediately start building up bacteria • Waterboy Systems Following multi filtration the water is then protected from bacteria build up by ultraviolet technology in the tank system. Waterboy Systems also have a fail safe check system which cuts off the water supply in the unlikely event of a UV failure (AMPSTM, Automatic Purification Monitoring System)
